Kailasagiri is located in Visakhapatnam on a hill and it is a must to visiting place for all people visiting Vishakhapatnam. It is one of the most hill top parks with sea view on the East Coast. Kailasa giri has serene and beautiful Rushikonda beach and RK beach on the left and hillock on the right. As the name suggests, the hill is Kailasa, the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvathi, massive sculpture of Shiva and Parvathi is seen here. Important places on Kailsalagiri are Shiva Parvathi Statue, Shanku Chakra Naama, Floral Clock,J ungle Trails, Food Courts, 7 Wonders of Vizag, Shiva Temple, Titanic View Point, Shanti Ashram, View Points, Art Gallery, Road Train, Gliding Base Point, Children Play Park, Conference Hall, Telescopic Point.
It is evidenced by many visitors to the hillock, with rope way facility and Children playing field that they had fallen in love with this mount and surroundings due its picturesque and serene atmosphere. Imposing view of the city with illuminations in the evening can be enjoyed from the rope way.
One more new attraction is the toy train operating at the top of this hill top park. This train takes a circular tour of this garden at the hill top. This train journey of 20 minutes duration costs Rs 40/- for adult and Rs 30/- for kids below the age of 10 years. The compartments are fitted with transparent glass at top and at side. Tickets are issued at the platform and seat number is allotted at the time of buying the ticket. The compartments became hot during noon time because of hot sun rays passing through the transparent roof. Winter it will be comfortable.
